Earlier this year, Lefty decided to end his tenure on the PGA Tour and have a fresh start with LIV Golf. Phil signed with Saudi-funded Tour for a reported amount of $200 million. Phil Mickelson is waiting for his wife’s command to shave

During the 2022 US Open, the LIV Golf defectors were participating in their first Major since the maiden LIV Golf event in London. Many players were bombarded with questions regarding the lucrative Tour for their move, including Mickelson. However, one interviewer lightened the press conference by asking Phil if his beard will last much longer or has the golfer decided to shave it.

Phil responded by saying that his wife, Amy Mickelson has the final call on his beard. He said, “Amy liked it, so as long as she likes it, it’s here — and when she says it’s gone, it’s gone”. Being in the marriage for 25 years has led to the 6-time Major winner relying on his wife to make decisions for him.
