‘The PGA Tour Come In and R**e and Pillage,’ Furiously Vents Greg Norman Amid Extending Tension With LIV Golf

LIV Golf is on a mission to make the Saudi-funded league a global brand. It wants to have a fan base and events outside the United States. In order to make this happen, the league has organized events this year in Mexico, Singapore, the United States, Australia, Spain, England, and Saudi Arabia. Australian fans have expressed immense love for the upcoming LIV Golf event that is scheduled in Adelaide from April 21st to April 23rd. In a recent interview, the CEO of LIV Golf, Greg Norman, made some powerful statements about what LIV Golf brings to Australia.

Greg Norman says LIV Golf brings much more to Australian Golf than the Presidents Cup

In a recent interview with Fox Sports, Greg Norman expressed that LIV Golf brings much more to the table in Australia than the Presidents Cup. “We are a leader in so many different ways and we are leading so far ahead of the President’s Cup in delivering to Australia,” said Norman. He also expressed that the league is planning to organize more events in Australia in the future.

Norman mentioned in his interview at the Orlando LIV Golf event that his primary mission is to bring 48 of the best golfers to Australia and build true value, as it has never been done before. Norman also took a dig at the PGA Tour and how it has been operating in Australia. The Australian said, “The PGA Tour come in and r*pe and pillage for one tournament what is it, every 12 years, and they suck it dry and leave.“

After taking a dig at the PGA Tour, Norman spoke about his plans to expand in Australia. “I know I am getting inquiries from other states and I look forward to unlocking those opportunities when I go down to Australia, from corporate-wise to state wise state tourism-wise,” said Norman about all the other states who are inviting LIV Golf to host events.

Veteran Norman also commented on the monetary value that they are bringing to Australia and it was, well, lucrative. “The value we are bringing, by my estimate, no one else’s, is near nine figures.”

Australian fans have shown immense love to LIV Golfers

A LIV Golf event is scheduled in Adelaide from 21st April to 23rd April and the event is completely sold out. Australian fans have welcomed LIV Golf and the LIV Golf defectors with open arms in their home country. With the hype that the event is generating already, it is ought to be a blockbuster.

The first allotment of tickets got sold out for the Adelaide event and LIV Golf had to release extra tickets. LIV golfers showed fantastic performance less than a fortnight ago at the 87th Masters. Fans have adored and supported the LIV golfers. Their stellar performance at Augusta could be one of the reasons why.
