The 151st edition of the Open Championship is going to kick off in just a few days. However, ahead of it, Cameron Smith recalls how he won it last year and what he did with it while celebrating his maiden major victory.

The 2022 Open Championship winner is setting his eyes on winning the tournament again this year. According to him, his skills have improved this year, and he is in a better position to top the leaderboard at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
Yes, Smith has a goal to bring the Claret jug again to his name so he can have a beer out of it yet again. In a recent interview, Smith confessed the same of how much he is willing to win this season at the Opens.

If we talk about the 2023 year, Smith had a great season so far. He played for nine LIV tournaments wherein he was able to secure one win in the LIV London event. Additionally, he participated in three PGA tournaments.

A Glimpse of Cameron Smith’s Performance at the Open Championship 2022
As far as the 2022 Open, Smith managed to score 20-under at the St. Andrews golf field. He finished the day at 8-under 64 and won his first major with a 6-under 30 on the back nine of the final round.
In the winning process, the World Number 9 defeated both Rory McIlroy and Cameron Young by one stroke. This was his first major win.
