The comeback everyone has been waiting for is finally here! In May 2023, Jessica Korda teed up at the Cognizant Founders Cup, making her sixth start that year. However, after shooting even par 72, she withdrew from the event without giving any reason. A few days later, the six-time LPGA Tour winner shared that she had suffered a lingering back injury and would take an indefinite break from the sport.

She withdrew from the 2023 US Open in June and missed the entire season. Another reason for her hiatus was that Korda was expecting her first child, which she welcomed in February 2024, Greyson DelPrete. It has been 17 months since the older of Korda’s sister last teed up at any professional competition or hit any ball, as at first, she was in rehabilitation and then pregnant. But now, Jessica Korda is gearing up for a comeback. The 31-year-old pro shared a post on Instagram of her hitting the balls for the first time in months.

Although she struggled a bit before, World No. 1 Nelly Korda, was called to help her sister, which helped her a ton. Jessica said, “Haven’t hit balls since May 2023. So an emergency FaceTime with Nelly Korda to talk fundamentals and 💥 boom 💥 mom’s still got it.” Except for one thing that Korda joked about, the tilted camera angle, and in a self-deprecating tone said, “minus the camera angle.. that needs improvement.”

As Jessica Korda’s game improves with each passing day, her camera angles will do so too. But as a professional golfer, that would be the least of Korda’s concerns. As Mama Korda eyes her near comeback on the LPGA Tour, the golf world is stunned and delighted to watch her hit the balls like she never left it.

What’s your perspective on:

Will Jessica Korda's comeback overshadow her sister Nelly's dominance on the LPGA Tour?

Have an interesting take?

Well, Nelly Korda has many rivals on the LPGA Tour. But when Jessica Korda is there too, it also becomes more competitive for the sisters to win. Off the course, they are each other’s biggest support but that doesn’t mingle with their on-the-course rivalry. And whenever her older sister decides to return, it would not be easy for Nelly Korda to win six events as easily as she did in 2024. Thus, this user added, “Looking forward to seeing you back on the tour! Give Nelly a run for the top spot!”

The Solheim Cup will return in 2026 at the Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands. And by that time, Jessica Korda would probably have returned to the LPGA Tour. In the 2019 edition, the two sisters became the first-ever sibling pair to at the Solheim Cup and they won both foursomes and their singles to aid Team USA in victory. In 2021 as well, the Korda siblings were paired, however, they couldn’t win the match. Nonetheless, it would be amazing to see the two together in 2026 as this fan commented, “Tryina see the Korda Sisters pair up in the Solheim Cup again.”

As the oldest daughter of the Korda clan, Jessica Korda started her professional career earlier than Nelly Korda in 2011. Since the initial years, the older sister achieved success on the LPGA Tour and won six times. Jess’s successful journey has greatly inspired Nelly Korda. However, in later years, the younger of the two prevailed and broke more records. Nonetheless, as this fan said, “The best Korda of all time LPGA is not same without you god bless you and Grayson and your. Family,” we couldn’t agree more that Jess has some precedence over Nelly Korda. Another excitedly wrote, “The OG’s Back 🔥.”

But when exactly will Jessica Korda participate in a pro event? Well, the 6-time LPGA Tour winner once shared that she is eligible for 2 years of maternity leave from the LPGA Tour. Not until 2026 then, however, Jess may start posting more of her golf outings and entertain her fans through that.
