Tiger Woods is a huge name in the golf world. He can’t be turned down easily, one would say. But recently, one of his vital projects has been put on hold. The TGR project near the Obama Presidential Center has been stalled, at present.
Tiger Woods is having other successes though, such as Trout National-The Reserve in Vineland, a venture with MLB’s Mike Trout. Also, his TGL League reportedly signed a deal with broadcasting giants ESPN. Despite these projects going his way, Woods would not be happy in light of the Obama Presidential Center project coming unstuck. Even though some say, there is still some hope!

In a way, the great Tiger Woods has been turned down
Besides being a successful golfer, Tiger Woods is a successful businessperson. He has been busy with several projects with the TGR. One such is the $70 million venture signed back in 2016. Even former POTUS Barack Obama was involved in the agreement.
The agreement said the nine-hole South Shore course and the eighteen-hole Jackson Park course would be merged into one grand 18-hole course with all the facilities fit for the PGA Tour tournaments. So that some prestigious Tour events could be held there. But recently, the project has come to a halt.
As per Chicago Tribune, this has happened due to a dearth of monetary backing. One of the Jackson Park Conservancy spokespersons, Louise McCurry, said, “There’s no money to do that”. The CEO of the Obama Foundation Valerie Jarrett said that the project was declined and the association is currently focusing on the Presidential Center.

The story doesn’t end here. Park District spokesperson Michele Lemons declined an interview request by Chicago Tribune and wrote in an email, “There have been no recent discussions so the Park District has no updated information to share”. It has indeed proved to be a fly in the ointment for Tiger Woods. Just a couple of days ago, reports suggested there is a massive broadcasting deal with ESPN that has fallen in Tiger’s lap.
