The Match seems to have found solace in the embrace of a new venue. Yes, you heard it right. The entertainment-packed golf challenge is now headed to The Park at West Palm Beach, Florida. Scheduled for February 26th, the event is set to have some of the biggest names in the game on the greens of this golf course that boasts its suitability for all age groups and skill levels.

Names like Rory McIlroy, Max Homa, Rose Zhang, and Lexi Thompson, will put the greens’ promise of viability for all to an intricately curated test. But before these giants start to tee up, exploring the greens is essential to the sport’s glory!

Inaugurated in April last year, the luscious greens of the Park GC are truly revolutionary. The public golf course, beautifully curated by Gil Hanse, Jim Wagner, and Dirk Ziff., is an 18-hole masterpiece.

With its pocket-friendly and state-of-the-art facility, this golf course seems the perfect fit for the “different experience” The Match offers. Interestingly enough, the timing of the 12-hole Skins Game format event is something that adds a punch to all the revolutionary aspects.

Unlike most golf events, The Match is scheduled for the night and will be played under the lights. Thankfully, the greens powered by Gil Hanse-design will be able to host the event admirably thanks to its countless wisely thought-out features of illuminating the greens with flood lights that power the course to open till late in the darkness of the night.

It’s not just the facilities that enhance the admirability of this course but also the intricately crafted holes, which add to the experience by being both different and difficult. But what do the stars, gearing up to add their flavor to the greens, have to say about the greens?

What is the take of Rory McIlroy and Co. on the venue?

This is the first time that the event is in a mixed-gender format. Talking about the same, the Northern Irish star, Rory McIlroy, was quick to give a glimpse of his “few” visits to the park. According to him, “doing this at a public facility goes back to that relatability for the fan at home.”

Max Homa, another big name on the roster, was also quick to announce his excitement. He said, “I grew up on a very public golf course… I’ve always wanted these types of things to go to places like that.”

Rose Zhang was more focused on the time-based intricacy of the event. She said, “It’d be nice to actually have the light this time around while playing at the same time. It presents a huge element that I’m looking forward to.”

All in all, only time will tell whether the park will be the next best place to hold such events or not. However, it seems to be an affirmative from the participants!
