On Monday this week, Woods graced the fans at Augusta by stepping onto the course for a practice round. Playing alongside Rory McIlroy, Tom Watson, and Fred Couples, the golf legend flaunted his beautiful skills for the world to see. From magnificent strokes to elegant putts, one would have never guessed that he’d been away from the sport for a while!

And his practice partner loved every second of shooting a round with him, especially Couples. The 63-year-old was enthralled with his Monday interaction with Woods. “It’s just fun to tease him, get teased, and listen to his stories,” he claimed in a recent tweet by Golf Digest.

Couples won himself a lifelong Masters invitation with his 1-stroke victory in 1992. Despite it being his only major win, he will undoubtedly be glad considering he now gets to be a part of the iconic Augusta traditions and customs. And of course, this week he’ll be more than grateful for the win, considering he got to share some wholesome moments with Woods!

Following the round, the PGA Tour veteran also had a lot of praise for the 15-time major winner. Having witnessed his gameplay up close, the old-timer claimed that Woods was certainly ready to take on Augusta. “He’s ready to go, even though it’s probably not going to be easy,” said Couples, as per a PGA Tour report. “But I think he’ll be fine.”
The one-time major winner claimed that it was Woods’ injuries that were holding him back a little. They had drained the golf pro’s energy and made it difficult for him to maintain consistency in his game. “I think the leg—I guess this is what it is,” Couples stated. “I don’t know how much better it’s ever going to get.”
