Recently, an anonymous former maintenance crew member revealed the secrets that contribute to the Masters’ charisma. While talking to Golf Digest, an ex-Augusta crew member shared all the secrets that make the Masters fascinating in a video.

While talking about the secret work, he said, “A divot team at Augusta National when they take divots, they are replaced. After the round, they are replaced. If you watch the Thursday round and you see people taking divots. When you come back that next Friday, try to find that same divot, you are not going to find it. The whole area has been resodded and plugged.”

Later he revealed an incident when asked about the greatest Masters maintenance moments that he had encountered. While revealing the incident he said, “There was a hydraulic spill that was roughly 50,60 feet long and about two or three inches wide. It looks horribly terrible. Literally in 15 minutes, they have that sod removed and replaced.”

A group of over 100 workers make up the Augusta National maintenance staff. They include landscapers, horticulturists, machine operators, and turf management specialists. The staff puts in a lot of effort to keep the course immaculate for fans and the best players in the world.
