The Masters Tournament is a legacy. The fans love and respect this event because of its years-old traditions like the Champions Dinner. However, as not every shining thing is gold, the same way not every bit of tradition is accepted by the more modern fans of golf. A golf enthusiast has put forward his views about a tradition that is disliked by many, and the fans gave their opinions on the take.
The Masters Tournament tradition that does not bring smiles
The golf lover has exposed the wrong side of the storied event. He talked about the TV broadcast of the event and said, “We can talk about the “traditions” of the Masters all we want. But the fact Augusta still don’t allow full TV coverage of the event is like something from the Stone Age. I can’t think of another sporting event anywhere who wouldn’t want the absolute maximum exposure. #Masters” The purse for the event is $18 million and yet, they are under scrutiny by the fans.

All the traditions, from the Amateur Dinner to Par 3 contest and Green Jacket ceremony, are loved by the fans as they show their excitement and support. But not everyone can fly down to Augusta National and witness the event. Therefore, TV is the only way for those people to witness every bit of the event and see their favorite players win.
I came here to say this. There were hours of play today that could have been broadcast and now play is suspended. The Masters approach to broadcasting is archaic. Pathetic snobbery.

And that was not it. The official Twitter handle of The Masters also posted an update talking about all the traditions. There also, the fans had some complaints.
Not being able to watch it on TV because the coverage doesn’t start until 2pm!

Worst TV coverage ever 🫠

The fans were unhappy, and their comments expressed their sentiments well. It was unacceptable for them not to see all parts of the events via TV. However, they also had some suggestions that could actually improve fans’ experience. While some golf fans helped others by telling the trick to watch the full event, others found the solution.
It’s borderline shoulder shrug for the first two days, but completely unacceptable now

New masters tradition should be to start tv coverage when the first tee ball goes in the air?! Seems like a good idea

You’re not watching on the app? It’s probably the best coverage of any sporting event

It is not just the tradition
It is not just a TV broadcast tradition that was unacceptable. The rules of the Masters Tournament are also shocking. You can even rank their rules from bizarre to quirky. The caddies are only allowed white jumpsuits on the greens. The spectators cannot bring unattended guests, nor they are allowed to run around the Augusta National looking for a better viewpoint. And these are only a few of many unbelievable rules.
