The Masters Tournament came to a massive finish with Jon Rahm’s unforeseen victory over LIV Golf’s Brooks Koepka. The PGA Tour star made history after climbing his second major victory in his career. However, he received a tough fight from his competitors hailing from the rival Saudi League. And other than Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson, even Patrick Reed proved to be a strong contender in the final round. But keeping aside his position on the leaderboard, Reed had something else to highlight during his post-game interview.

Patrick Reed details his amazing experience at Augusta

Despite being surrounded by several allegations throughout his career on the PGA Tour, Reed has no lack of talent when it comes to golf. There have been times when fans have trolled the golfer big time and accused him of “cheating” during professional tournaments. But keeping his head high, the golfer has been silently working on his game. His T4 finish at the Masters was enough to shut his critics down once and for all.

After playing for numerous years on the PGA Tour, Reed made his LIV Golf transition last year following players like Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson in their footsteps. Moreover, he even joined the “4 Aces GC” team on the breakaway circuit, with Johnson as captain. But despite leaving the PGA Tour, Reed got to play at the Masters tournament along with 17 other defectors who qualified.

He said, “I think you’re going start seeing over [the next] year. Hopefully, everything’s able to kind of calm down and allow that to happen more often,” Reed said. “Not just on the European Tour but who knows, maybe later on … you have more of these battles more frequently.”
