Cell phones have become the most essential element of people’s lives now. But, there are still some places where there is a no cell phone rule. For golf fans, it is none other than home to the historic Masters Tournament, the Augusta National Club. Setting foot inside the Augusta is like boarding a time machine to the past. No cell phone rule applies to everyone alike, be it golfers, staff, or fans. Once in 2010, 5 times Masters Champion, Tiger Woods, was caught with a phone in his hand, and guess what happened!

Club spokesperson mentioned that no cell phone rule can be an exception when one golfer is helping record another golfer’s practice shot. “We would make exceptions if players were using any kind of recording device during a practice round.”
Woods not the only one who got caught with a cell phone at Augusta
Scott Feight was yet another golf player who became the violator of the no-cell phone policy at Augusta. Feight once purchased badges for himself and his father to watch a practice round at the course. His father had a phone at the bottom of his bag and yet they were allowed to attend the practice round. Months later, Feight received a letter from the club that notified him about the permanent revocation of his badge-buying privileges.
