West, 33, has been one of the biggest stars on the LPGA Tour. Achieving her fame at the age of 10, the golfer became the youngest player to qualify for an LPGA Tour event. Moreover, she also aced the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links as the youngest golfer on the field. Clearly, setting records is no big deal for the golf star. However, despite all her accomplishments, the retired athlete found herself extremely nervous at the Masters.

During her Masters interview, West opened up about her unforgettable experience at Augusta National. With her first visit to the mega-tournament, the professional golfer could only call it nothing less than “amazing”. However, while giving details about her time near the most exclusive spot at Augusta, the Big Oak Tree, West revealed something unexpected about herself.

Apparently, the golfer revealed how she had to deal with anxiety for a pretty bizarre reason. “It was fantastic. And it’s just magical,” she said. “This whole place is so cool. I’ve run into so many friends and not having a phone gives me anxiety. But it’s a really, really cool place. And I’m having so much fun.” Well, maybe she wanted to capture some of her most memorable moments at the tournament. Or maybe she just wanted to FaceTime her family and show them the magnificent course. But whatever it was, not being allowed to have her phone definitely left a mark on the player’s experience at Augusta.

Woods’ return to the prestigious tournament was no less than a treat for golf enthusiasts. And being one of his biggest fans, West completely understands how tough it has been for the golf legend to fight through his injuries on the field. In fact, she admitted that she might not be able to walk for four days at Augusta. “It’s crazy. I mean, just to walk here for four days is I don’t know if I can do it. I’m really out of shape right now.” West said.
