Tiger Woods arguably has the biggest influence in the golf world. Regardless of whether golf enthusiasts are his fans or not, almost everyone has huge respect for the golf legend, especially for what he has done for the sport and what he has endured on the path to doing so. The 15-time major champion hasn’t been in the best shape lately. In fact, at the Masters recently, he withdrew despite making the cut, thanks to an aggravated injury! And now, following the dismay of the fans over that incident, another blow follows.

Woods’ latest health update drops

While the fans look forward to Woods’ updates, his most recent one on social media wasn’t one that thrilled the fans. His official Twitter account dropped a health update about the pro just hours ago. “Earlier today, Tiger underwent a subtalar fusion procedure to address his post-traumatic arthritis from his previous talus fracture,” it stated.

Fortunately, the surgery that Dr. Martin O’Malley performed at the HSS Sports Medicine Institute in New York was “successful.” Post-surgery, the golf legend was doing well, too. “Tiger is currently recovering and looks forward to beginning his rehabilitation,” the post stated.

The announcement of the course opened up a whole new can of worms. While the fans were undoubtedly hopeful that all was well for the golf pro, they couldn’t help but wonder if he would take to the course at the remaining 3 majors during the year. And while they certainly hoped that he had recovered by then, all they could do for now was wish him luck!

Gold World showers Tiger Woods with good wishes

Similar to all his other posts, this too went viral within minutes. The news had upset many in the golf world, and all they hoped for was that their favorite golf legend would have a quick recovery. Hopefully, in time for the next major, The PGA Championship, which begins mid-next month.

Fans sent him well wishes and prayed that this would be the surgery that made life easier for him while he played the game.

They were also dismayed by how his injuries and surgeries were getting far more frequent, and some couldn’t help but wonder if it was time the golf legend hung up his clubs.
