What was so special about the 2022 Masters to Minjee Lee?
Unlike many other professionals, Lee is not the only golfer in her family. In fact, her brother Min Woo Lee is also extremely skilled when it comes to golf. Moreover, he is making an appearance at the Masters Tournament this year. And guess who is going to root for him on the course? His sister! “I’m going to watch my brother for the first couple of days, and then I’ll get back to work,” said Minjee Lee while trying to hold her excitement in.

The female golfer was also part of the tournament last year when Woo Lee made his first appearance at the Masters. She even got to caddie for her brother in the famous Par-3 contest last year, which is one of many Masters’ traditions. Talking about her experience at the 2022 mega-event, Minjee revealed the best moments from the previous year’s tournament.

“It was really cool, I got to hit two shots, but one rolled back in the water” she laughed and said. “I was using his clubs. It was his first year at the Masters too, so to be able to experience the whole week with him, it was just really cool.” Minjee also mentioned how her brother was really “over the moon” and she was simply enjoying watching him play.
Lee also revealed that she got to see Tiger Woods on the putting green, but not on the course. After all, the golf legend is a really hard sight to catch with all the crowd that surrounds him during tournaments. “Way too many people,” she said. Well, as much as fans are excited to see Tiger Woods at the tournament, a huge portion of them expect Augusta National to host an LPGA Tournament as well. And it was after Lee’s friend and competitor, Nelly Korda opened up about her experience at the historical course!

What are the odds for Min Woo Lee to win the 2023 Masters?
The 24-year-old Australian golfer is making his second appearance at the Masters this year after his debut in 2022. With a final round of 70, the player was able to finish tied for 14th. Woo Lee has also won several tournaments including the 2020 Vic Open and the 2021 Scottish Open on the European Tour.
Clearly, there is no lack of talent in the Aussie. But looking at all the talented and experienced players on the field, it is pretty hard to say anything about his odds of winning at this point. Moreover, his sister’s favorite golfer and legend Tiger Woods is also present on the field this year, which makes it even harder for Lee to ace the tournament!
