It’s surprising how much things can change in a year. In 2022, then-injury-laden Brooks Koepka missed the cut at the Masters and finished in for a tie for 59th. After a grueling year that saw the golfer suffer from a debilitating knee injury and receive flak for joining LIV golf, Koepka has returned to a smashing form for the 2023 Masters.

After winning 4 major championships in 2018 and 2019, Brooks Koepka had to take a backseat due to injury-related issues. On Friday, however, the LIV golfer’s five-under-par 67 helped him take a confident lead at the Augusta National.

Shedding light on his disappointing outing in the 2022 Masters, the four-time-major winner talked about how he tried to break the back window of his Mercedes last year.

Brooks Koepka praises $80,000,000,000 giants after a dispiriting moment comes to surface

The 87th edition of the Masters is currently underway at Augusta, and Koepka has been in amazing form so far. Last year, however, this feat would have been impossible for the former World No. 1. In 2022, Koepka missed the cut at the Masters after finishing at six over, much lower than his normal standard.

Following his dismal performance, the player tried to break the window of his Mercedes. “I don’t even know if I should be saying this, but pretty sure I tried to break the back window with my fist of the car, I tried to put it through the back window, not once but twice,” said Koepka about his last year’s frustrations to the media after yesterday’s second round.

However, the glass window of his Mercedes did not budge. When asked whether the golfer successfully cracked the window, Koepka replied, “No. No, the window did not break.

I guess Mercedes makes a pretty good window,” the golfer jokingly added about the $80,000,000,000 giant.

On Friday, the Florida native stormed into the lead at Augusta following a crackling five-below-par 67. Koepka was in blistering form during the second round of the Masters before the ominous weather decided to play spoilsport.

A victory for Koepka would help the golfer get his hands on the much-coveted green jacket and serve as a huge game-changer for the Saudi-backed LIV golf.
