The 87th edition of the Masters Tournament is witnessing the 25th appearance of GOAT Tiger Woods. All eyes are on him as this may be his chance to win the 16th major championship of his golfing career. However, many speculations took place regarding Woods’ game at the event. A famous gambler was very sure that the pro would not win Masters. It has been a trying time for Woods since his 2021 car accident. But the new updates making round on Twitter raises serious questions.

Have the legends lost trust in Tiger Woods?

Alan Shipnuck tweeted his concerns about Tiger Woods and his future in golf. He tweeted, “Ugh, Tiger. I’ve felt all along there will be a reckoning at the end of this summer. Last year he was just coming back and building strength so scores didn’t really matter.” Expressing concerns, he added, “But if Woods continues to be a non-factor, will he keep soldiering thru these majors in a ceremonial role?

A famous journalist, Robert Lusetich, chimed in and replied, “Getting lapped by Freddie, who’s about to be 64, and Phil will get old, fast.”

Then Sir Nick Faldo, who respects Woods, and his game, also expressed his serious concern about the golfer. He recorded back-to-back double bogeys in the third round and was 6 over par after seven holes at Augusta National when play was called off for the day.

Woods, who has won the iconic event five times, is trying to ace the sixth time. But the major health setbacks have been his problem. However, he tried his best and was able to make the cut. He said, “I got a chance to play on the weekend. I wish I get a chance to play two more rounds.” His body strains are raising serious questions about his future in the game.

The Hall of Famer carded bogeys on two of his final three holes in Round 2 on Saturday morning. He slid inside the cut line, and his two rounds cumulative score was at three over par.

How did the golf world react to it?

Saturday was a tough day, weather-wise, and for Woods as well. It was an extreme example of how weather can affect a golf event and how difficult it is for Woods. Regardless of the outcome, it is quite plausible that he is trudging up and down the hills of Augusta National Golf Club with a right leg held together by bolts. And occasionally, seeing that he might as well turn away is so difficult for the fans to witness.

Woods was last on the leaderboard by three strokes at 9 over par when the horn blew as he limped down the 17th fairway in 45-degree weather and steady rain. He trailed the leader by 22 shots. And after the series of concerning tweets, the golf world also revealed their true feelings about Woods.

There were fans who still had faith in their favorite GOAT. They believe that Woods can still make it and will d wonder.
