One of the big misses for Brooks Koepka has been the green jacket. Close to winning many times, 2019 seemed like the victorious year, but a bad final round and gear problems have kept him waiting. Since turning professional in 2012, the American has won nine times on the PGA Tour. Of these, five are Majors. So it is safe to say that when the going gets tough, Koepka gets going. Now, for the 10th time, he has a chance at Augusta. Koepka has started his 2025 tenure at Augusta finely.
Entering the par-3 contest with his wife Jena Sims and son Crew Koepka this year, the LIV Golfer made a trip down memory lane, wowing the crowd. The exhibition came to a crescendo at the famed Juniper Hole when he registered a brilliant ace on the sixth hole to the delight of his family, friends, and patrons.
His swing was brilliant, and the ball landed past the pin on the green. However, the spin was enough to provide momentum backward, and the ball trickled down to the hole. Koepka was jubilant and celebrated by raising his son Crew in the air. A moment worth remembering. He later posted the images from that moment on Instagram, with the caption “An ace at Augusta. A lifetime memory with my Crew. That’s a forever kind of day. #TheMasters.”

Brooks Koepka’s son steals the show at Augusta
Last year, at the Masters Par 3 Contest, little Crew Koepka rocked an adorable miniature caddie outfit. He’s been waddling down the fairways of Augusta since, cuter each year. At the 2025 Masters at Augusta National, Crew Koepka turned heads dressed once again in a pint-sized white caddie jumpsuit. Complete with short sleeves, rolled-up pant legs, and the iconic Masters logo on his chest! This was topped off with his tiny black-and-green Nike kicks, matching Augusta’s signature green, and a playful baby mohawk that added flair just right.
One fan commented underneath Koepka’s post, “Omg the curls,” referring to baby Koepka’s hairstyle. Another fan also felt that the younger Koepka was stealing the show with his charm and general presence, stating, “Wow, what a sweet looking little kid.” The moment will be etched in time for Koepka at the iconic golf course, surrounded by his family and loved ones. One fan commented, “the sweetest memories.”

This is what makes the Masters special. The par-3 contest showcases a different side of the golfers we have admired, the more familial side. Just look at the celebrations when Poppy McIlroy putted one in for her father, Rory McIlroy. Shane Lowry and his kids joined in the happiness as well. The bonds that are forged are truly special, as one fan noticed, “Whether you love these players or not, it’s special to see them with their kids.”
But back to Brooks Koepka, if he wins, it will be a symbolic moment, not only for his family, but also for LIV, more importantly. Do you think he can channel his big-tournament presence and get the elusive Masters title this year?
