And just like that, we’ve arrived at the most anticipated day of the year—the final round of the Masters 2025. After three electric days, we saw Rory McIlroy leading the charge in a fiery manner, and now holding a two-shot lead heading into Sunday. Right behind him is none other than the reigning U.S. Open champion, Bryson DeChambeau. These two didn’t just go head-to-head in the final round at Pinehurst last summer, but they certainly brought the heat then—and it looks like we’re in for another thriller. They’ll be teeing off together in the last group at 2:30 p.m., and you can bet the world will be watching.
There’s a bit of breathing room between the top duo and the rest of the field. The second-to-last pairing will feature Corey Conners and 2018 Masters champ Patrick Reed, sitting four and six strokes behind McIlroy, respectively.
Statistically speaking, Day might be just a bit too far back. The last 37 winners at Augusta were all inside the top five after 54 holes. That narrows the potential winners down to McIlroy, DeChambeau, Conners, Reed, and Åberg. But hey, records are made to be broken, right?
