The Los Angeles Country Club in California was founded over a century ago, in 1897. The individuals who laid down the foundation stone for the club were a bunch of wealthy businessmen who were extremely passionate about golf. One of the oldest and most exclusive golf courses in the United States, the club’s first golf course was situated in LA’s Pico Heights Area. The original version boasted just nine holes and was called “The Windmill Links.” Eventually, its 18-hole course was founded and was named the “Convent Links.

As the course grew in popularity, they had to find a brand-new location. Later, a brand-new clubhouse came into being in 1911. It was opened in Beverly Hills, along with tennis courts and 36 holes of golf. The Beverly Hills setting is still home to the Los Angeles Country Club to this day.

During 1996 and 1997, the North and South courses of the LACC underwent large-scale renovation. Later, in 2010, the North Course once again went through substantial restoration.
