Golf is often considered being a gentleman’s sport. The statement is backed up with several other things, including the professional’s dress. Professionals on the course often dress up rather formally and are also sponsored by some of the biggest brands in the world. However, sometimes it can get boring to wear simple or subtle colored trousers and we often see professionals like Ian Poulter breaking the stereotype.

The difference lies in his pants or what are called golf trousers. Pulter often wears checkered pattern pants with different colors that are impossible to go unnoticed.

But with all that being said, this time, it was Justin who stole the limelight in round two of the Genesis Invitational with his vibrant colored trousers.

Justin wore purple or wine pants with a white polo in the second round of the 2022 Genesis Invitational. The American professional made a rather funny post after his round, that said, “Great day out there today! But the real thing I want to know: what color are these pants…. Plum? Burgundy? Maybe a nice Cabernet 🍷? I need answers.”

To the same, many golfers reacted in a rather funnier manner. Harry Higgs, who made the headlines last week at the Waste Management Phoenix Open by removing his shirt on the 16th hole, said, “They are Merlot my man. The “Merlot Pro.”  

Max Homa, who was the defending champion this week, also had something to say. He replied, “I can feel it, down in my pluuuuums.”

Who won the 2022 Genesis Invitational?

The 23-year-old professional Joaquin Niemann won the 2022 Genesis Invitational. He won the event with an overall score of 19-under-par. As a result, won the event with a two-shot lead. The Spaniard carded a final round of 71, even-par to become the winner. Host of the tournament Tiger Woods, handed him the trophy.
