The one of its kind, Aramco Team Series is underway in London, currently. The famous Centurion Club has opened its arms to 36 teams of four golfers (3 professionals and 1 amateur) again this year. Out of the five fantastic venues, only the London golf course retained its place from the last year’s locales. And it has not disappointed in delivering sensational gameplay.

In the last two days of the event, some strong stroke plays and even stronger comebacks were made on the greens. Among the list of players who have managed to rule the event, for now, include Nelly Korda and Charley Hull. The two golf icons have boldly taken the first berth on the individual leaderboard. While their two-day journey has taken different courses, they are presently vying for the same spot. With the lookout for $1,000,000 continuing, let us take a look at their individual performances! The individual competition at the Centurion witnessed Nelly Korda dominating the game. With it drizzling on the greens, Korda found herself delivering six birdies. After not being able to showcase her real potential post-returning from her injury recovery, this tournament might be the one to provide the golfer with some confidence. Though Korda has appeared anything but disheartened in her last couple of tournaments, a win is never unwelcome. That is exactly what the World No.2 would be aiming for.

Additionally, Korda’s Aramco Team Series record hasn’t been bad at all. In fact, the 24-year-old emerged as the individual winner at the event in 2022 Sotogrande. In that tournament, the winning team included her older sibling, Jessica Korda, who hasn’t been able to participate in competitions due to her health issues.

The gigantic comeback performance of Charley Hull at the Centurion Club

While Nelly Korda has been no less of a phenom on the field, Charley Hull recently pulled off an amazing rebound to level scores with the World No. 2 on the leaderboard. It so happened that the English golfer, on a rainy day, registered a quintuple bogey at the sixth hole.

Just when everyone believed the golfer lost her chance of making an impact on the event, she made an enormous comeback. Hull executed six birdies in her last seven holes which helped her finish the first round at 5 under par. Her splendid performance made her final number of birdies reach 10.

Before this tournament, the 27-year-old also showcased exceptional talent at the 2023 US Open. She finished three shots behind Allisen Corpuz and took the tied second position at the women’s golf major. Even though Hull is tied with the American golfer for the top spot, she surely takes a leap ahead. Why?

This is courtesy of the English golfer not only leading the individual list but also her team sitting at the top of the leaderboard. Charley Hull, along with her teammates Isabella Deilert, England’s Hayley Davis, and former England footballer Teddy Sheringham have made their team look invincible. The online audience also couldn’t help but flock to social media as they rooted for their favorite star.

Who will take the leap for the win?

There is no definite answer to the question and the results will unfold as the second round concludes. However, fans seem to have their say on the matter. Some fans sided with Korda, commenting about the high expectation, “I hope she can keep this momentum and take home a win.” Another follower hoped for the best to come her way, writing, “I wish her good luck & All the best.”

Along with the wishes and praises pouring in, her fans as usual could not help but pour out their immense love toward her. One wrote, “Love Nelly!!!” Another added, “Just lovin that swing.”

However, it was not just the 24-year-old who got showered with affection from her fans. Hull received an equal amount of praise from the followers, if not more. One fan replied, “Super women!” showing how impressed she and her team left everyone.
