The Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF is back with its 4th round of the 3rd edition at Hong Kong Golf Club. The 3-day event will be filled with fierce competition and nail-biting performances.

Who has won the Aramco Team Series?

The Aramco Team Series on the Ladies European Tour has traveled around various cities of the world starting in 2021. This is the tournament’s third edition. Every year, the team series goes through four rounds scheduled in different cities.
New York, London, Bangkok, Jeddah, and Sotogrande have hosted the event. This year, it has added four new cities: Riyadh, Singapore, Florida, and Hong Kong. 2023 having already seen three rounds in London, Singapore, and Florida, It will hold the final round in Riyadh.
A few players who had shown remarkable performance in 2023 are Paulin Roussin, who won the Team event in Florida and the individual title at Singapore, Nelly Korda who had the recent individual victory in London and the European star, Carlota Ciganda claimed the individual title at Florida, America.
The 4th round at the New and Eden, Hong Kong Golf Club will see the world number two Lilia Vu playing with the world number four Jin Young Ko. The event will also have other Solheim Cup stars from both Europe and the USA. Rose Zhang with rival Carlota Ciganda accompanied by Caroline Hedwall will be showcasing the terrific gameplay once again.
Representing China will be the world number 13 Xiyu ‘Janet’ Lin and Muni ‘Lily’ He. Playing on her home soil will be Hong Kong’s Tiffany Chan.
Format, purse, and ticket
The event will have 84 players from 27 nations fight against each other in individual stroke play competition side by side with the team event. The Hong Kong Golf Club is a par 73 course. The format for individual events is 54-hole stroke play and 36-hole team event.
The unique and innovative format of the Aramco Team Series gives a different perspective to the game of golf. 28 teams consisting of 4 players, including 1 amateurs will play over two days. The best two scores per hole will be added to the team’s points. This way of scoring helps the amateur contribute to the overall results.
They will play the individual games over 3 days alongside the team event. Only professional players will participate in the stroke play format. The field will be cut to 60 for the final day, including ties. The team captains were decided on 25 September following the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. The players will be selected in descending order, with the 28th-ranked captain picking first and the 1st-ranked at last. Random draws will allot the amateur players.
Prize money and timing
The prize is $1 million, $500,000 for team events and $500,000 for individuals. The player winning the individual title will additionally earn points contributing to Rolex World Ranking and Race to Costa Del Sol.
The event will start on the 6th of October and run till the 8th. The tee times are different for Friday – Saturday and Sunday. The gates will open at 7:30 a.m. on all days. The tee time is 8 a.m. on Friday & Saturday and earlier start at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. Golf Channel will cover the live broadcast and there is also YouTube Live for the rest of the world.

The tickets are free for all on Friday 6th October. And HK$150 for Saturday and Sunday, while that for children 18 and under is free. Furthermore, the event boasts various activities like mini golf, a kids’ area, a Chinese calligraphy and medicine workshop, a catering tent, target rugby and football, and much more.
