It is a common consensus among the golf community about how heavy a golf bag is. Though most commonly it is being carried by the caddie, it still holds some of the most valuable equipment. However, the value of the item differs from the price and also its prominence for the golfer. Tiger Woods, who many consider the greatest golfer, recently revealed which equipment according to him is the most important.

Woods has set his sight on the seventh edition of ‘The Match’. He will be teamed up with his long-time friend Rory McIlroy, as the TGL duo will take on fellow PGA Tour stars Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.

Days before his exhibition match at Pelican Golf Club, Tiger spent some time having a conversation with the newly launched ‘Another Golf’ podcast. The show is produced and launched by Woods’ long-time sponsor, Bridgestone.

What according to Tiger Woods is the most important item in a golf bag?

In the podcast, Woods talked about the upcoming exhibition game and also spared time to talk about his father Earl Woods. However, he was then asked about the most prominent item in a golf bag. “It’s something you use on every shot”, replied the 15-time Major winner.

According to Tiger, a golf ball is the most important item. “The ball testing, that’s what people don’t realize”, he said. Woods further added how a golf ball is the most used item since the golfer would need it in every shot unlike a glove or a club.

“It’s something you use on every shot, okay?” Woods said. “What is the most important thing in your golf bag? It’s the golf ball because it’s something you use on absolutely every shot”. The 46-year-old loves testing golf balls, however, not the same can be said when it comes to club testing.

Tiger Woods admitted not liking club testing, which according to him has an annoying sound. “I don’t like that clicky sound. It drives me nuts”, revealed the Hall of Famer. Whatever Woods speaks regarding the sport of golf is widely followed.

Though most fans may beg to differ from the golfer, in the end, most fans will agree with Tiger Woods. With 82 professional wins and being inducted into the Hall of Fame, it would be hard to disagree with Tiger when it comes to golf.
