With over 3 million followers, Paige Spiranac is the most loved golfer on Instagram. The fans of almost every sport, especially golf, are fond of her as she tends to create content related to sports, thanks to her former career as a pro golfer. However, did you know there was a time when she made a group of her fans angry, which led her to get a death threat?
“I just got a death threat over a pushcart,” Spiranac once tweeted. Her tweet further read, “Pushcart mafia rolls deep. Literally.”

Her tweet didn’t reveal why anybody would want to send a death threat to her. However, the former golfer mentioned the story in her podcast, ‘Playing A Round with Paige Renee’ podcast and added a link to it in her Twitter comment section.

Reports suggest that the average weight of a golf bag is around 30 pounds. A golfer, especially a non-pro player, has to carry it on his/her back while playing golf. Pushcarts are used to ease this problem and not give extra stress on one’s shoulder and back.

Many golf lovers use pushcarts whenever they play in an unofficial/friendly event. However, Paige Spiranac didn’t like the idea of using them on a golf course. And called the players who use it a b***h, which made many of her followers angry.
According to her, one of them sent her a DM that read, “how dare you call me a b***h. I only have one good leg, and it’s better than playing on nothing.” She explained how her comment on using pushcarts offended some during the ‘Is This Foursome Better Than a Threesome’ episode of her podcast in 2020.
Spiranac doesn’t recommend playing golf using pushcarts. However, she also does understand many uses it because of their back issues. But, she couldn’t understand how people get angry over something so simple.

“If you’re mad at me for calling you a b***h,” Spiranac said in the podcast. “That’s what makes you a b***h,” she added. “Being that upset about a pushcart.”
There are always two sides to a coin. Some might agree with the former professional golfer and criticize the players who use pushcarts to move around their bags.
