Hardcore golf enthusiasts were in for a treat at the iconic Pebble Beach golf course. And this was not in the tournament, but a moment between matches. It so happened that renowned commentator Jim Nantz made a golfer feel special with impromptu remarks on his shot.

Pebble Beach Golf Links is touted as the No.1 golf course in the USA. Located on the Monterey Peninsula in California, the 100-year-old resort is famous for its seaside golf course. It has been witness to some major golf action for over a century! No wonder, Jim Nantz was at his best at one of the best golf courses ever.

The Instagram handle of Breezy Golf shared a video via golfer Jason Deaver, where Jim Nantz is announcing the shot. The golfer on course could not contain his excitement, as the veteran announcer gave voice to his superb swing shot off the cliff and down near the water. What did Jim Nantz say at Pebble Beach?

Nantz narrated, “Tonight on CBS begins with 60 minutes.” The seasoned CBS commentator continued in his smooth voice, “David Lorenz continues to lead the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am by one over Jon Rahm. He’s on the tee at the seventh. Dottie, that’s a good-looking golf swing. Protecting that lead here in the final round. Let’s go back over to 18.”

Jim Nantz is an iconic commentator in US sports, primarily covering golf (The PGA Tour), NFL (National Football League), and NBA (National Basketball Association). Until recently, he voiced the NCAA Division-I and Men’s Basketball Tournament as well. The 64-year-old is known for his silken voice in commentary.
