Unquestionably, Jordan Spieth is one of the most skilled players on the PGA Tour. However, lately, his results in different tournaments haven’t been able to attest to that skill. Just last month at the 2023 US Open, the three-time major winner got clobbered and failed to make the cut. And now, a similar fate has once again welcomed the golfer as the Genesis Scottish Open concludes Day 2.

On Friday, Spieth was among various renowned names who left The Renaissance Club early thanks to a missed cut. However, it is in these alarming times that an athlete looks for support and love. And fortunately, that is exactly what the Texan received in the form of young European fans who were eager to greet the golfer post-game, whom he flaunted his appreciation for openly!

As the second round commenced, so did the rain at the Renaissance Club. The playing conditions added difficulty to the already challenging golf links. While many golfers like Rory McIlroy, Tyrrell Hatton, and Max Homa were able to stand up to these challenges, others like Spieth found it relatively arduous to tame the wet greens.

The 3-time major winner was only able to deliver rounds of 72–69 on the first two days, which did not provide him with much advantage and resulted in a disappointing end for the second consecutive time this year. Nevertheless, the golfer did not let this stop him from acknowledging the golf enthusiasts who were present on the field despite quite a bit of drizzle. In fact, soon after his round, Spieth was witnessed making time for fans and signing autographs, even in the pouring rain.

The crowd that surrounded the golfer was mostly composed of youngsters. They looked pretty enthusiastic to meet the professional athlete. One fan, in particular, can be seen clicking a selfie with Jordan Spieth. Meanwhile, another young spectator thanked the golfer after he signed his cap. All these instances showcase how unconditionally the PGA Tour pro’s fans adore him, even during his bad days on the greens.
