These actions by PGA seem like a way to retain the interest of their remaining players. LIV Golf has offered a lot of money to many talented players to lure them in. However, it looks like the PGA Tour is trying to do the same thing now.
Twitter fans react to insane PGA prize money announcement
Fans on Twitter are happy for their favorite PGA Tour players. But they left no chance in trolling LIV Golf players who betrayed PGA and joined the Saudi-backed tour. Some fans made direct statements on Phil Mickelson, saying that they are the reason behind PGA’s decision.

While most of the people celebrated the raised purses, others pointed fingers at the tour. They claimed that PGA said they were not doing it for the money, but suddenly raising the purses makes it a whole different story. Here are some reactions to Kyle Porter’s tweet:

Players have qualified for the events through a year long points list rather than just being randomly invited with no set rules as LIV have.
