As the inaugural TGL season heads into the playoffs, one team is carrying a serious amount of momentum—Atlanta Drive Golf. In a dominant performance during the regular season finale, Atlanta cruised past Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club with a resounding 9-1 victory. Billy Horschel, Lucas Glover, and Nick Dunlap made quick work of Woods, Tom Kim, and Max Homa in a match that was more about fun than high-stakes drama, with both teams already secure in their playoff spots. But while the regular season may have wrapped up, the excitement is far from over.
Atlanta Drive will enter the playoffs as the No. 3 seed, ready to take on the top competition. With the energy from their final victory still fresh, they’ll need every ounce of that momentum to face off against the powerhouse teams ahead, including the No. 1 seed Los Angeles Golf Club. And speaking of star power, the night wasn’t just about golf—there was a surprise performance that had the crowd buzzing. None other than Celine Dion, who’s become an unexpected golf fan, was in attendance, and she had the audience on their feet! Later, the 5X Grammy winner was asked how she felt being at the SoFi Center.
To that, Dion replied, “It’s very impressive. We’ve been watching on TV. I’m very proud. I have my three kids here with me today. The three of them are golfers. They’re very passionate about the game. I used to play golf. When I had time, then I had kids then I took a little break and here I am but it’s a great passion for As a mother to see. My children. Played this game. That is I think has so much. I don’t know how to say it in English but etiquette and like to make it right. And so It’s such a beautiful and a great game.” She went on to add how you can play golf and be in competition with yourself. And for her, it is a game so versatile that you can play it with anyone, be it your mother, neighbor, or your best friend.

Talking about the TGL atmosphere, she added, “It’s such a beautiful game and to be here in this TGL environment is magical”. When she was asked to dedicate one of her songs to golf, she sang Every Night In My Dreams from Titanic with a twist. “Near far, where ever you are, your ball will go on,” she sang, as Tiger Woods laughed. ESPN’s Marty Smith, who got the chance to chat with Dion, chimed in as well.
