1. Tiger Woods’s epic mishap

The unthinkable happened on the golf course and the G.O.A.T. couldn’t escape the embarrassment. In a moment that will be etched in golfing history, Woods misheard his longtime friend and business partner Rob McNamara‘s call of “99 yards” and instinctively pulled out his pitching wedge, confirming the number a second time before setting up for his swing. What followed was a shot that traveled a mere 100 yards, falling woefully short of the green, as Woods lost the 13th hole to Cameron Young. The miscommunication was laughable, with Woods’ teammates, Kim, and Kevin Kisner, chuckling at his expense, and even Woods himself couldn’t help but smile sheepishly, calling it “one of the most embarrassing moments in my golfing career,” per USA Today. It was a rare moment of vulnerability for the golf legend, who was playing for the first time since facing a sad time in his family.

2. Billy Horschel’s jaw-dropping putt

When the going gets tough, the tough get going – and sometimes, all it takes is a little motivation from a loved one to spark a miracle. For Billy Horschel, that motivation came from his young daughter Colbie, who reminded him that he’s “better in single points” during a pivotal moment in the TGL Finals Series. With renewed confidence, Horschel sank a long, winding putt to give Atlanta Drive GC a thrilling come-from-behind victory, securing the inaugural SoFi Cup and a $9 million grand prize.

As he celebrated, Horschel admitted to letting out some expletives, exclaiming, “This is fun. This is absolutely exciting!” The electric atmosphere was palpable as Horschel’s teammates cheered him on, and even his opponents couldn’t help but be impressed by the clutch shot, which will go down in TGL history as one of the greatest moments of the season.

3. Wyndham Clark sinks winning putt under pressure

Talk about the clutch gene! Wyndham Clark proved he’s got it in spades, sinking a thrilling eagle putt under intense pressure to seal the win for The Bay Golf Club over Boston Common on Presidents Day, Monday. The electric moment came in the final match of the night, capping off a thrilling triple-header at the SoFi Center. The dramatic timeout called by Boston Common to rattle Clark’s nerves was a super highlight here. Instead, the brief pause gave Clark the chance to read the putt more carefully, and he confidently made his stroke, pouring the ball into the hole to secure the victory. The crowd erupted, and his teammates rushed to congratulate him on his winning shot, capping off an unforgettable night of golf.

4. JT’s miracle shot

In a heart-stopping, edge-of-your-seat moment, Justin Thomas pulled off the unthinkable, sinking a hole-out shot to win the final hole and send the match into overtime, where Atlanta ultimately emerged victorious. The drama unfolded on the 15th hole, a daunting 714-yard par 5, where Thomas and Sahith Theegala engaged in a nail-biting showdown. After Theegala’s flubbed shot and Thomas’s duffed attempt, it seemed like all hope was lost, but Thomas challenged himself to make up for it, and in a stunning display of skill and determination, he holed out to win the hole, leaving viewers, including this one, utterly invested and breathless.
