The Scottish Open had a successful conclusion on Sunday, and the golfing world is now waiting for The Open Championship to kick off. Golfers are looking to perform well at the last major of the year. They are practicing hard real, one way or the other, ahead of the tournament.

Collin Morikawa, however, doesn’t appear to be that jittery. He doesn’t appear to be too much bothered about his practice. He was rather seen enjoying a totally different sport. Let’s find out more.  

Guess what? Collin Morikawa attended Wimbledon

Morikawa, who skipped his Scottish Open last week, appears to be taking a break so as to rejuvenate himself ahead of the upcoming, hallowed event. Yes, he was spotted at a tennis game at Wimbledon. For the first time, the 26-year-old golfer visited Wimbledon.

To share the same, Wimbledon Official Instagram handle shared a post with the caption: “Being here on the grounds, it’s as special as it gets” ROLEX testimonee @collin_morikawa on his first visit to Wimbledon #MyWimbledonMemories | @rolex”

In the Instagram reel, Morikawa expresses his admiration for tennis as well as how pleasant it is to be on a tennis court. He thinks that for many sports enthusiasts, attending the Wimbledon tournament is part of their bucket list.

The American professional golfer further disclosed that he has mentioned to every single person about his visit to this event, although he skipped telling them about his participation in the Open Championship. That tells you how excited he was at the opportunity.

Morikawa ready to move on from Rocket Mortgage

The five-time PGA tour winner was last seen playing at the Rocket Mortgage Classic wherein he lost the play-off to Rickie Fowler in a three-way battle, with Adam Hadwin being the third participant. Now he is all set to participate in the Open Championship. He has already won the hallowed event in 2021 and will look to win his third major overall.

The said event will have its first round on July 20 at the Royal Liverpool Golf Course and will have its final round on July 23. As many as 156 players are going to tee off in the first round.
