The world has changed a lot throughout the years. People understand how men and women are equal in everything and how they should be treated likewise. However, equal pay is a concept that the world has yet to accept. Many female celebrities and sports entities have spoken openly about it, and Tiger Woods‘ niece Cheyenne Woods was one of them.
Every year Forbes releases a list of the highest-paid athletes in the world. And when the magazine released the list in 2018, the result was disheartening. Nobody in the Top 50 was a female athlete. “It was disappointing to see,” Woods said about the list in a 2018 interview.

There is no doubt that Serena Williams is one of the greatest tennis players ever to live in this world. From winning the most number of Grand Slam titles, 23, among men and women in the Open era, to winning a Grand Slam while being pregnant, the American star has done it all.
Apart from her successful sports career, Williams also has set up her own business. ‘Serena Ventures.’ According to Forbes, Serena Ventures has invested in 60+ startups to date. Thus, she proved she is the best in the sport and in business too.
“It’s inspiring to see women like Serena out there dominating her sport and being so successful,” Woods revealed her admiration towards the tennis legend. “I think she’s definitely the inspiration of what’s possible,” Tiger Woods‘ niece added.

Notably, the Forbes top 50 highest-paid athletes of 2022 have included two female athletes’ names. Unsurprisingly, one of them is Serena Williams (31) and the other is Naomi Osaka (19).
