The golfing world, apart from the competition in the course, has more to it courtesy of the pro golfers around the world.. One of the best examples of that is World No. 1, Scottie Scheffler.
Apart from being in the news for his great performance, the golfer has also won the hearts of the fans with his humble nature in real life.

Mr. Inevitable has two sides to him, when he is at an event, fans would witness his competitive side. While in reality, he is truly the opposite of it. Apart from just getting the fans to attend his great game, he has managed to do good work with his winnings. In a recent announcement, something similar has been shared by the world no. 1.

With a long career in golf, Scottie Scheffler during high school won the Master’s for which he purchased a car. However, there is an interesting story behind the purchase. To attend the tournament, Scheffler, with his dad, drove to the tournament, but the car broke down. That’s when the idea of spending the winning amount came in for the current world no. 1. For the purchase he said, “Most people get a T-shirt, I got a $50,000 car payment.”

The GMC Yukon 2012, even after being used for more than a decade, is still one of Scheffler’s favorites to drive. He even drove the car two years back, at the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth. However, now with the recent post shared by NUCLR GOLF, the car is up for auction for a good cause. The money received in the auction will be utilized for the Triumph Over Kid Cancer charity.

The Scheffler family attended the fundraising event in Houston, while the car also got the initial bid from Jim Nantz for $50,000. The post on X shared some photos of Scheffler with the car and other important information, including the odometer count and the story behind the car. The best part for the upcoming car owner would be the signed dashboard from Scottie Scheffler. With some great reactions and comments to the post, fans have started to praise the golfer, while others had a different opinion about it.

Scottie Scheffler chooses to be generous in a noble cause to society by auctioning his beloved and first car. Now with the post shared, it has a variety of comments for the golfers. Fans even share their thoughts about the car and the auction process.

Some of the fans choose to praise the great player for his great initiative. As one of the users commented, “Scottie is a legend.” While others had a more satirical take on it by asking,  “Shit. Will I shoot better scores if I drive that to the course? I’ll buy it if so.” Being the world no. 1, Scottie Scheffler’s game is appreciated and respected by golfers and fans alike. So, for the die-hard fans out there it wouldn’t be afar fetched idea to think that the car would improve them at golf.

However, some fans were bothered by this initiative and shared their own opinion about it. One of the fans commented, “Lmao .03 percent goes to charity I’m sure 🤡”  Well, it is not possible to make everyone happy with your actions and there will always be naysayers.  One user commented disagreeing, “Feel like this is a stretch.” Others joined in by sharing how bad this offer could be for anyone who will purchase the car as he commented, “I’m sorry, who the f**k cares? Who wants anyone’s used car?” Whether you like it or not, Scheffler is doing something generous out there, given the context of what the car means to him. It is truly a powerful move made by the humble golfer.
