She is dubbed the ‘Golf Queen’ for a reason. And the fans? They know it pretty well. Her journey started with being a pro golfer, but a missed cut later, she just could not handle the pressure anymore! But they say that whatever happens, happens for good, and they are right! Paige Spiranac’s rise in the world of social media as an influencer and, subsequently, the sport, has been exponential. It has led to the diva garnering a lot of followers throughout the years. One of the admirers successfully grabbed the model’s attention at an event recently, so much so that she shared it on her social media.

The 31-year-old shared a tweet on her X handle, all the while narrating one of her experiences at an X-Golf event: Met Tony at an @xgolfamerica event where he asked me to sign his arm. An hour later he comes back with it tattooed on him!” It seems even Spiranac was surprised by the unexpected show of admiration. Interacting with fans bizarrely is not new for the golf beauty.

She once recalled on the Foreplay podcast how her fan had tattooed her on his thigh. “I was playing the ACC event in Tahoe [Lake]. And this guy goes, ‘I got a tattoo of you’.” She was taken aback by the revelation but was intrigued too. Taking a look at the inked thigh, she was shocked. “It’s an entire thigh tattoo of this nak*d girl holding a golf club.” Perplexed golf mommy kept looking at it and thought, “I’m like, it’s like they look a little small,” Spiranac hysterically said.

To say that people love Spiranac is an understatement! Anything she does is often appreciated by her ardent followers, like the time she released a book, The Story of Hattie, with her sister, Lexie Spiranac/Mitchell. Fans called her book a perfect read to learn the basics of golf. One netizen wrote about the book, “The book by Paige and her sister is an amazing book to read for anyone who wants to learn how to play golf.” He also pointed out how it “shows and tells you how to be confident and determined in anything that you put your mind to.”

Her fans love her so much that they were very eager to have her as the NBC Sports analyst when Paul Azinger stepped down. Although she mostly has good and memorable experiences with fans, she has had a few bad ones as well. The most shocking one was when she was blamed for scamming her beloved followers. It then came to light that someone was impersonating her and charging fans $10,000 for a picture.

The tech-infused company joined hands with Paige Spiranac to promote their golf simulations, as well as to serve as their ambassador in 2023. She has often been spotted making use of the premium indoor golf simulations that X-Golf boasts on her social media posts and stories. It was at an event hosted by this company that the golfing influencer met with Tony. But the fans only found the whole situation perplexing, to say the least.

Netizens find amusement at the actions of Paige Spiranac’s fan

Back in August 2023, Spiranac teamed up with a new sponsor, Garage Beer. The Ohio-based beer brand held a special event known as Paige Spiranac Puttapalooza in the Chicagoland area. As per the contest, 20 people would be randomly chosen, out of which only three would make it to the final event. The winner, meanwhile, would receive beer from the company for a year along with a chance to procure a lifetime supply of the same by holing a 50-foot putt alongside the diva.

Fast forward to the present, and a follower couldn’t help but ask if such a similar prize was behind the fan’s actions: “Does he win a special prize for doing that??” Another enthusiast even dubbed the whole action as something that arose out of a “Passion” for the diva. X-Golf, meanwhile, came forward to comment on the tweet, saying, “Well, at least Tony will never forget that day.” Neither will Spiranac, apparently!

The athlete had come forward to share one of her follower’s story which spotted the video of a man wearing a shirt sporting the face of the golfing influencer. It also showcased the admirer flaunting his merchandise related to the golf queen while being a part of a match-play event. When the 31-year-old noticed and acknowledged him, many would have surely thought of him as the biggest fan of the influencer. But come June 2024, many took to dub Tony as a ‘superfan’ as they responded, “You can’t be a bigger fan than that”, “Fan for life,” and “Now there is a real superfan!”

The golfer had been once married to professional baseball player Steven Tinoco in 2018. The couple, however, divorced in 2022 after separating in 2020. The baseball pro soon after married songwriter Abbey Scott and welcomed a baby girl into the world in 2023, Kodi Scott. Spiranac, meanwhile, is speculated to have remained single after the incident. But a fan, after the recent meetup, urged her to tie the knot with Tony: “Ask him to marry you.” Although she will probably not do something like that, it would have been a truly gratifying experience for the golfing model.
