It is no secret that the LIV Golf League is financially well-endowed. Their financial prowess happens to be one of the main attractions. With multi-million dollar deals on the table, the breakaway league has been able to add many big names, such as Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson, Brooks Koepka, and most recently, the world No. 3, Jon Rahm.

With all the benefits, the very same aspect has come under repeated scrutiny by the entire golfing world. This time, a supposed jibe was taken at the breakaway league by none other than Phil Mickelson’s nemesis while he celebrated the addition of a new golfer to the PGA tour.

Recently, the controversial author, Alan Shipnuck, reposted a cryptic tweet reminding the world about the “human element” in sports which makes it special and compelling and unlike money, as some might believe.

The last three words “not the money.” were potentially directed towards a particular league, which is famous for its grand money deals. Shipnuck was celebrating the induction of Hayden Springer in the PGA Tour through the Q-School and thus tweeted the reminder.

The 26-year-old golfer previously played on a mini tour, PGA Tour Canada, and the Korn Ferry Tour. Through the PGA Tour Q-School, Springer received the opportunity to play on the PGA Tour for the coming season. Shipnuck has written about Springer and his 3-year-old child, Sage Springer, who sadly passed away after her long battle with Trisomy 18.

The author retweeted a post that highlighted the inspiring life of little Sage Springer. The Springer family’s story is one of resilience, hope, and the power of love, showing how it can truly create miracles in our mortal world.

Hayden and Emma Springer were excited to welcome their first child. However, the news of their firstborn having Trisomy 18 crushed their hearts. The doctors told the parents about the rare chances of their daughter surviving given the diagnosis.

The birth of their little angel in 2020 was itself a miracle, Sage Springer went through various surgeries and operations and fought through all the hardships. The parents cherished every moment with their little girl. However, in the month of November of 2023, Springer and Emma bid farewell to Sage.

Coming off of such an immense loss, Springer was determined to win it big at the Q-School at TPC Sawgrass. The Canadian golfer shot 8 under 272 and ranked tied fourth and acquired a spot on the 2024 PGA Tour season. We wish Springer a successful and prospering career on the PGA Tour.
