Eldrick Woods and Steve Williams achieved several laurels together. Moreover, the 82-time major championship winner completed Tiger Slam in golf with Williams. The duo was together since 1999 until they parted ways in 2011. Moreover, the legendary caddy recently spoke about the reason that forced him to leave Woods.
Steve Williams on forced to leave Tiger Woods and join Adam Scott
In the latest episode of his podcast, Chasing majors, the former caddie spoke about Woods and Adam Scott in the podcast’s newest episode.
Steve said, ” When I was caddying for Tiger. I think a lot of pros, and a lot of caddies for sure got pretty bored with Tiger winning so often. And I would go from one tournament to the next tournament. And you know, I could count on one hand, how many guys would say well done last week because the guys were just getting sick of it. I sense it I felt it.”
He added, ” Adam Scott always took the time to come over and say congratulations, and that yeah, that meant the world to me. But when you go into a relationship, and you’re going to caddy for a golfer, you know, you assess when guys how they play, and what is the reality of the game that well, the only thing missing from Tigers, sorry, from Adams resume was a major championship.”

When did Tiger win his first major championship with Steve Williams?
Woods won his second major championship title but the first one with Steve Williams on the back in 1999. The duo won the 1999 PGA Championship at Medinah Country Club. He won the event with an overall score of 11-under-par. As a result, he finished just one shot ahead of the runner-up Sergio Garcia. The Spaniard ended the event with an overall score of 10-under-par and, as a result, finished in solo second position.
Tiger carded a final round of even-par 72 to win the event on Sunday. His final round included three birdies and all pars on the front nine, and he moved out in three-under-par, 33. Woods made only one birdie, two bogeys, and a double bogey on the back nine to make the turn three-over-par, 39. Tiger also won a prize money share of $630,000. Stweart Cink and Jay Haas finished for a tied third finish with an overall score of eight-under-par on Sunday after the final round.
