In the world of golf, consistency is everything. The most consistent golfer will be considered the best golfer, more often than not. Steve Stricker’s position in the season-long points race on the PGA Tour Champions vouches for that.

The 56-year-old Wisconsin native has been consistent and finally, his consistency has paid off. He has not only achieved this goal but has done so in a manner that can only be described as dominant since he has locked up the title with two events still to play.

The closest competitor for Stricker was Steven Alker. But after the conclusion of the first of three Charles Schwab Cup playoff events, Stricker still continues to hold a staggering 1,909,065-point lead over his closest competitor — Steven Alker.

The most interesting part is that Stricker’s lead is unassailable given that there are only 1,756,000 points available in the remaining two events.

To put out simply, Stricker has won the PGA Tour Champions title before even teeing off in those tournaments. It’s a clear testimony to his exceptional and consistently good performance throughout the season.

In 16 events that he played in, he notched an impressive 15 top-10 finishes and thus went on to showcase an unrivaled level of consistency and skill. This consistency is the very element that landed him on top and separated him from his counterparts.
