The love Donald Trump has for golf is well-known in the community. However, turning the affection for the game into a professional career is easier said than done. And when it comes to the 78-year-old, he has already found his calling in business and politics. One might think that with the position the former POTUS has reached in his life, all of his children and grandchildren would prefer the same political path. That is until Kai Trump enters the picture!

The young grandchild of the former President was spotted in a video with YouTuber Grant Horvat. The content creator had apparently challenged the athlete to a stroke play golf match at Trump National, Florida while inquiring about her future plans of joining the LPGA Tour. She was quick to answer the question with a resounding “Yes,” all the while expressing her determination to become a professional golfer.

“So, is your goal right now to play pro golf one day on the LPGA?” asked Horvat, to which she swiftly agreed. Doubling down on the same, he posed another query, “So, you’re not really big into the politics, you’re just kind of focusing on that?” Her response? “No,” replied the 17-year-old, “I stay out of that and just focus on golf.”

Horvat, on the other hand, didn’t shy away from wishing his best for the young golfer. Moreover, he even complimented Donald Trump’s granddaughter for her skills in the game as they were traveling on a cart; “I’ll be rooting for you cause I think, man, you’re striking it so well you got a lot of power too.”

Well, he’s not the only one who has dished out praises for the female athlete. Even the likes of Bryson DeChambeau, and Kyle Berkshire have expressed how impressed they were after witnessing Kai Trump’s skills. The ‘Scientist’ had dubbed the 17-year-old’s swing as “pure” while Berkshire once said, “Game is looking great Kai!” Trump’s grandchild’s portrayal of good skills is not a surprise, especially after learning how she started her journey at the age of 2.

The former POTUS’s granddaughter currently attends Benjamin High School and is part of the institute’s Varsity Team. What’s more, she was appointed the captain of the team, all thanks to her impressive gameplay, which helped her win the 2022 Women’s Club Championship and the 2024 Ladies Club Championship.

That’s not all. Being better than a scratch golfer, Kai Trump boasts a handicap of +0.5 while aiming to better herself to play professionally on the LPGA Tour. Even a professional on the ladies’ circuit was high in praise for the young athlete. Dani Holmqvist once accompanied the President’s grandchild for a practice session and she could only end up appreciating her; “So proud of your hard work and dedication. Coming out early this morning in the 100-degree heat to work on your game says a lot.” It appears Ms. Kai Trump has the determination and skills to make herself a pro golfer. But will she be able to become one? Her fans would surely hope so!
