Justin Thomas joined the Atlanta Drive GC on TGL and became the first member of the team. Now that he is under AMB Sports and Entertainment, his new boss will be Arthur M. Blank.

Arthur is expanding his business portfolio. The 81-year-old owns teams in the National Football League and National Soccer League. Now he has decided to venture into the golf world.

Meet Justin Thomas’ new boss

Arthur M. Blank co-founded the Home Depot in 1978 with Bernie Marcus. In 2002, Blank bought the Atlanta Falcons for $545 million and later in 2017, started his new franchise in MLS, Atlanta United FC. Both his teams are now worth millions, with the Atlanta Falcons at $2.2 billion and Atlanta United FC worth $850 million.

Additionally, Blank co-operates the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta and the PGA Tour Superstore is another venture by Blank. Arthur has a net worth of $7.3 billion as per Forbes. Blank has now acquired the Atlanta Drive GC in Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s highly advanced and tech-infused league, TGL. Moreover, 15x PGA Tour winner Justin Thomas is the first golfer he signed to his four-member roster.

Thomas commented on his joining the Blank’s team and said, “I’m excited to represent fans there as part of TGL and Atlanta Drive GC. To be aligned with an owner like Arthur Blank and his incredible variety of businesses as they expand their golf portfolio feels like a great fit for me.”

Furthermore, he promised his new boss that his team “will represent Atlanta in the best way possible while helping grow the game everywhere through this unique TGL format.” The CEO of PGA Tour Superstore, Dick Sullivan, expressed that Thomas is “a perfect fit” for the Atlanta Drive GC as his values align with that of AMB Sports and Entertainment.

TGL Boston unveils their new identity

Another TGL team franchise for Boston recently revealed its brand identity. Boston Common Golf (BCG), owned by the Fenway Sports Group, released the new avatar for the team. The name is inspired by the famous Boston Common Park while the Ballfrog represents the Frog Pond in the park and the puffed chest displays the golf ball. The colors; green and white, also touch upon the richness and heritage of the city.

The Fenway Sports Group owns the Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Red Sox, and the Liverpool Football Club with iconic venues like Fenway Park and Anfield Stadium. The list goes long, with the inclusion of different sports. Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s new league gathered attention from the biggie of the industry, indicating a successful business venture.
