Despite the great beginning with new advancements in the off-season, LIV Golf (and Phil Mickelson) have been roasted more than marshmallows at a campfire. After the deal with the TV broadcaster, Fox Sports, and ITV, the league was expected to become the cause for worry for the PGA Tour. However, shocking viewership stats were revealed after the first event of the 2025 schedule, which was LIV Golf Riyadh.

The first round had 12,000 viewers, which is a record low for the PIF league and a significant cause to worry. Back to the second event, the league seems to have prepared well. It’s LIV Golf Adelaide, a fan-favorite stop on the LIV calendar! But, in true fan fashion, they didn’t just cheer, they took the celebration in a whole new direction.

So, the first round at Adelaide observed a great feat from Patrick Reed, which let the celebration on the course go wild. Phil Mickelson took it to his X account to praise the great achievement, writing, “What a moment yesterday from Patrick Reed and the Aces.
