“Have to wonder what Phil Mickelson is thinking right now, seeing all these PGA Tour changes he essentially called for. The emergence of a worthy competitor gave the top players leverage, and they took a leading role in creating a comprehensively new PGA Tour,” he wrote.

Thinking Phil did anything for anyone other than Phil is pretty funny

Poor Phil 🤣🤣 Did not want to be a team player …. forever forgotten 😉

I'm not sure if Phil "called for" these changes. He bitched about it after he was outed for going to LIV, and then said his reason for going to LIV is because of x, y, z reason.

Phil said all along he only wanted to change the PGA Tour, even if it meant taking 200 million and selling his soul

Phil left for the guaranteed money. Everything else is a smoke screen
— Savage (@RW_Savage) August 24, 2022
Hopefully Phil is just happy he got some temporary debt relief because that’s ALL he cared about

Prettty sure he’s still happy with his $200 million. He wouldn’t even qualify for these events lol https://t.co/BJBm0z2lxb

Phil Michelson & Greg Norman have ruined, destroyed golf! Professional Golf now is about money, no cuts, smaller fields, salaries just find ways to pay millionaires more money & eliminating competition! Pro golf is now sports entertainment & money! #OhMy #Period https://t.co/c3rRuPWYW4

The message from the fans rightly comes as a show of disapproval for Mickelson’s move to the LIV Tour. While numerous players have been announcing their shift to LIV Golf, majority of the golf world has been critical about the Saudi backed league and the players’ move towards it.
