Lexi Thompson has kept her promise. When she announced her retirement last season, she said she was ready to enter a new chapter of her life. And guess what? She already has. The American professional golfer is engaged! The 23-year-old golf sensation recently said “yes” to her boyfriend, Max Provost, in what can only be described as a winter wonderland dream come true. Max popped the question on January 1, 2025, during a romantic getaway to Whistler, surrounded by stunning snow-covered landscapes. 

Lexi couldn’t wait to share the moment, posting on social media, “The best part of my trip to Whistler ….😏🙈 I said YES to my forever and always ❤️💍 1.1.25.” This glimpse into her happily ever after feels extra special for someone who’s kept her love life mostly private. With the magical snowy backdrop and her heart full, Lexi is clearly over the moon! But the celebrations were kept private until now.

On January 13, Lexi Thompson and Max Provost finally had their big engagement party. A few hours ago, she posted a story on her official Instagram account. The couple stood in a room decorated with white balloons. Making it all the more beautiful, the couple dressed all white for the special occasion. Well, except for Provost’s brown leather shoes.

The couple looked stunning. Lexi Thompson wrote, “Engagement party” on it. That was not all. A few hours later, she put up a post on her wall. She captioned, “Time for Morgan and Friends with my mom ☺️💕”.

The golf community could not be happier for her. And well, they did not leave any stone unturned to shower her with their love.

Despite keeping a low profile on her love life, if you have followed Lexi Thompson closely enough, you would know that Max Provost has appeared several times on her profile. The couple enjoys traveling together and posts cozy pictures of their relationship. He even caddied for her at the Hero World Challenge Pro-am in December. 

It brings joy to the golf world to witness their official announcement, where they not only confirm their relationship but openly celebrate their love. Taking to this momentous day, one of them wrote, “I’m happy for you both. ❤️” while another congratulating her wrote, “Hi Lexi, congratulations and all the best to you….”

Being a golfer, Lexi Thompson had busy weekends because of her tournaments. Now that she has retired, neither of the weekends of the New Year have been spent ideally either. And it was, of course, with someone she loves, instead of with her clubs. Taking to this, one of them wrote, “Busy weekend!! Have a blast!”

As for the evening party, Lexi Thompson wore a cute little black dress, pairing it with a black pair of heels. She had left her blond hair open and looked effortlessly beautiful. Taking to this, people left comments like, “You look amazing Lexi” and “So a gorgeous girl. Love yaaaaaas”.
