The 2025 season is really having a banging start, isn’t it? Take Hideki Matsuyama’s the Sentry win for example and while everyone was still trying to get over how awesome it was, another PGA Tour game is coming to an end. That’s right, the final round of the 2025 Sony Open in Hawaii is all set to kick off on Sunday, January 12, at Wai’alae Country Club, and it’s shaping up to be a real nail-biter! Saturday’s third round was a total game-changer, with several players making some serious moves up the leaderboard. We mean, we’re talking huge jumps. Stephan Jaeger shot an incredible 62 to vault 40 spots and land just one shot off the lead. That’s some serious momentum heading into the final round!

Jaeger’s got some experience with high-pressure situations, too. He got his first PGA Tour win last year in Houston in a memorable duel with Scottie Scheffler. Now, he’s looking to make it two wins, playing alongside leader J.J. Spaun and Eric Cole in the final grouping at 3 p.m. ET. Spaun’s got some experience with winning, too – his only PGA Tour win came at the 2022 Valero Texas Open.
