Even $125 million worth of defection to LIV Golf could not give Bryson DeChambeau what he admires! The golfer has always been very open about how he believes in giving back to society. However, at the same time, he has also talked about how he loves playing on the Saudi-funded league and even finds it better than the PGA Tour. But there is one factor that might encourage him to start playing a few events on the American Tour, if allowed.

Recently, on the Fairway to Heaven podcast, he opened up about his profound desire to support communities through the PGA Tour. More interestingly, the golfer named a few events that align with his interest in giving back to society.

When asked about what would motivate him to play again on the PGA Tour, the golfer clearly expressed that “I (Bryson DeChambeau) love LIV, and I don’t think I would really want to play on the PGA Tour.” However, he clarified that there are certain events that he would love to compete in because they do good work for society and help out the communities.

He expressed a genuine passion for participating in events like the Shriners Children’s Open and tournaments hosted by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. “For sure, I’d love to help out the communities. That is something I’ve always wanted to do, whether it be the Shriners, where I’ve won, or Arnold Palmer or Jack Nicklaus; his event is supporting those communities is something I’m massively a fan of,” said DeChambeau.

Despite his involvement in the lucrative LIV Golf series, DeChambeau expressed a profound affinity for these community-focused PGA Tour events. His victories and experiences in these tournaments have instilled in him a deep appreciation for their community impact. He sees competing in the aforementioned events as an opportunity to give back to the communities that have been integral to the sport.

Interestingly, the Scientist, also talked about another thing that he would like to do, probably with other PGA Tour pros and professional golfers.

Going global with LIV Golf, at odds with the PGA Tour over digital media rights

He mentioned “going globally with LIV Golf and playing across the globe and inspiring younger generation and others to pick up a golf club and go hit some golf balls.” Golf truly holds a special place in DeChambeau’s heart, as his vision to make the younger generation love it as much as he does is truly commendable! The golfer also has a dedicated foundation under his name to support junior golfers, and has talked about it in the past, saying, “I would say one of the most important things is Junior Golf. One of the pillars of my foundation, the Bryson to Shambo Foundation, is Jr. Golf.”

His frustration stems from restrictions on using on-course footage. While talking about it, he said, “They didn’t like the fact that I was utilizing on-course footage that we acquired, that I had my guys acquire. And, you know, it’s unfortunate.”
