It is no secret that Ian Poulter is a Formula 1 fanatic. But if you weren’t aware, this new Instagram story of him is quite the reminder of how interested he is in the sport.

Poulter took to his Instagram stories, raising a doubt about the newly released Formula 1 cars. He wrote, “Ok someone must know this answer. I’m noticing different length wheelbases between some of the new F1 cars that have been released. Is there a +- that the teams work too for this? The @astonmartinf1 looks to be a shorter wheelbase.”

The golfer soon got the answer he was looking for since he added another story right after the first one, pointing out the differences. Poulter wrote, “Difference… The @mclaren with a longer wheelbase to the Aston.”

Difference between the MCL36 and AMR22

According to the GP Blog website, there are a few differences in the newly released McLaren’s MCL36 from Aston Martin’s AMR22. The rear of the MCL36 looks a lot narrower than that of AMR22. The AMR22 has a narrow square opening with a half-disguised intake next to it in case of its sidepods. Meanwhile, the McLaren model chose a wider sidepod, which provides more cooling.
