Max Homa is among the 70 golfers competing in the Playoff’s first leg at St. Jude. But a recent episode made him stand out from that group. In a recent Twitter post, the PGA Tour announced a heartwarming reunion between Homa and a St. Jude patient, Calvin, who is also his friend.

In 2021, some patients designed custom shoes for Homa and Will Zalatoris. These kids used their imagination to the fullest and brought to life a range of colors and even animal designs on those shoes. Since then, Calvin and Homa have been in touch.

The excitement is quite evident in the video as Homa sees Calvin and the kid says, “This is my boy.” Calvin calls him a legend guy, “and they walk a few holes. Max Homa helps Calvin putt the ball and expresses joy over finally seeing the little man after three long years. The Twitter video also plays their online video chat in 2021, when Homa appreciates Calvin’s shoe designs and expresses the desire to meet him.

Calvin, in solitude, expresses that Max Homa “He’s a great human being. I love the energy he gives off. He’s just a great guy. His parents raised him wonderfully.” Not just that, the PGA star also took a selfie with him while handing him an autograph for him and his teacher. And Calvin, while saying goodbye, in a spirit of humor, said to Max, “Awe. Thank you, Dad,” while replying to Homa’s “I got you.”

The video radiates a lot of warmth, and fans all praise Max Homa. Let’s hear them.

Max Homa is winning hearts

In the Twitter video, Calvin talks about his condition. He is a teenager and has been carrying a brain tumor since age 10 or 11. Thankfully, it is stable. He has been through eight surgeries so far. He says, “You always got to keep a smile, man.” In the next shot, he asks Homa for a life tip, and he repeats that he has learned one from Calvin. It is always best to keep smiling. The PGA Tour pro player commented on the video’s positive impact, saying, “Dear everyone, be more like Calvin. Keep smiling.”

Many fans have also come forward to express themselves. One of the fans appreciated the sportsmanship that oozes out of athletes.

And another one appreciated the gesture enough to put it on a pedestal. Do you agree with them?

Taking a dramatic approach, one of the fans wrote, “How can I smile when someone is chopping onions. Great job you both.”

And one of the biggest compliments that Max Homa earned was when a fan said that people should also be more like him.

Calvin’s spirits are very high and positive. And it definitely left a positive impact on the fans. Rightly so!

Calvin says that the brain tumor taught him a lot of lessons. One of them is that one should always be thankful. And now, we for sure know the other one. So, keep smiling.
