Rose Zhang, along with 23 other LPGA stars, is currently stationed at Finca Cortesin. The Spanish greens are a witness to the prowess of the golfing skills of these professionals. Not only has there been a competitive drive from both ends, but the neck-to-neck finishes vouch for the glory at stake.

Before this coveted tournament, rising star Zhang sat down for a quick interview as she shed light on a choice-centric question. However, the ‘probable’ answer of the 20-year-old golfer appears to be the end of a patriotic promise—one that features her compatriot sisters.

In a recent interview with Golf.com, the young rookie of the American Solheim Cup side, Rose Zhang, participated in a thrilling session. It was the special segment of the channel called The Grill Room that witnessed Zhang displaying a candid side of herself while answering numerous personal and golf-related questions.

However, the attention zoomed in on the golf star when she was asked a specifically tricky query. The interviewer questioned the 20-year-old, saying that if she had to be paired with the same pro in events for the rest of her career, who would her choice be?

The rising prodigy hesitated a little in the beginning, starting her reply with an awkward “Oh no!” She soon, after a pause, came up with a surprising answer. Her reply was, “Probably Ruoning Yin.” While the Chinese golfer has surely been brilliant on the greens and holds the No. 1 position currently, the answer brought speculation on Zhang’s unspoken patriotic promise to the American side.

With the ongoing Solheim Cup and a special sisterhood bond present among the teammates, it would be a common expectation for the golfer to choose one of her Solheim Cup fellows as the answer to the question.

However, the choice made by Rose Zhang makes utter sense given the type of form the Chinese star has been in. With that, though, among all the off-course fun, the rising star just minutes back faced a tough defeat on the Spanish soil in the biennial event.

While it seemed that Zhang was in her element based on the first-hole birdie, it soon turned into a nightmare as Maguire finished and carded 1 point for Europe on the 15th hole. Prior to this, both teams were tied at 8-8, thanks to the tough competition that the golf world got to witness.
