After the successful completion of the US Women’s Open, the LPGA is currently busy with the Amundi Evian Championship. The competition, which has a massive $6,500,000 prize pool, is presently underway at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France. The golfing world is watching a number of elite golfers give it their all on the course.

However, the field does not include golf champion Michelle Wie West. She bid goodbye to her pro-life beliefs at Pebble Beach at the US Women’s Open earlier this month. And now she seems to have taken a liking to another sport, even though women’s golf is at its peak with the major this week. The sport in question, on the other hand, is none other than soccer!

If you are a football fan, then you are barely keeping calm these days. Yes, the ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup is currently underway. Moreover, it is the first-ever Women’s World Cup to have two host nations, Australia and New Zealand.

Surprisingly, it’s not only world-class female footballers at the venues; golf’s very own Wie West will also be there. As an ambassador for Nike Women, Wie West will join other Nike women in Sydney for the World Cup. Taking to Instagram, she announced this news on her story, where she wrote: So excited to join @nikewomen at the @fifawomensworldcup in Sydney!!

While there, Wie West will undoubtedly also support her friend, Alex Morgan. Morgan is the striker and captain of San Diego Wave FC of the National Women’s Soccer League and is on the USA squad at the World Cup. The two share a strong bond, and when the LPGA star announced her retirement, Morgan also paid her a heartwarming tribute.

The color scheme of the sneakers is nautical. Special features on the upper leather include a distinctive wave-shaped Swoosh emblem on the medial and lateral sides. To respect her Hawaiian ancestry, the word “Aloha” is also printed on the shoe. Moreover, the gradient cotton laces in the forefoot have unique embellishments like removable ball marker affixed to them that says “Just Do It” in both English and Korean.
