Up until Saturday, Ally Ewing was leading and dominating the game in Surrey, playing at the AIG Women’s Open. But, as the day to the finals grew closer, the round saw a lot of twists that ended with her settling for the T5 spot at the end of the evening.
Charley Hull was five points behind Ewing at the opening of round three on Saturday. And by the end of it, she had carded a 4-under 68. Hull scored three birdies in a row on holes 15, 16, and 17. And now, she is the one standing on top of the leaderboard, tied with none other than Lilia Vu, who signed off the day with a birdie at hole 18 and jumped up four places to grab the top spot.
Georgia Hall won the 2018 AIG Women’s Open, marking the last time a British golfer won the event. This year, however, she was not able to make her mark at the major and currently stands at T61.
