The 2023 Women’s FIFA World Cup is currently taking place in Australia and New Zealand. The tournament began on July 20th and will end on August 20th. This football tournament is indeed one of a kind and is the first tournament that has been co-hosted.

One of the key sports brands that has been an advocate of women in sports and has embraced women’s participation is Nike. The $164.69 billion sports giant is also an integral part of the Women’s Soccer World Cup and is outfitting 13 federations in the tournament. The brand also flew out athletes from other sports to witness the soccer magic, one of whom is Michelle Wie West.

The LPGA phenom shared a reel on Instagram wherein she showed her goofy side to the world. It was a video that consisted of an array of short videos and some pictures from her visit to Sydney with Nike. It seemed that she was having a great time with her fellow Nike women on her trip. She mentioned in her caption that this trip is Already becoming one of the most epic trips yet with my @nikewomen Think Tank sisters ❤️.”

The 33-year-old has been associated with Nike for a very long period of time. Nike is one of her biggest sponsors. And as per reports, her deal with the brand stands at almost $10 million per year. Moreover, just six weeks ago, as West played her last professional tournament, Nike paid her a heartwarming tribute.

Nike pays a tribute to their golfer girl

In order to honor the illustrious career of the former LPGA star, Nike launched an Air Jordan 1 that she designed with small intrinsic details that mean a lot to her. The collaboration was announced a week before her final appearance at Pebble Beach for the Women’s US Open. The shoes were bright sailors colors.

West took to her Instagram and shared a glimpse of her high ankle shoes, as well as highlights from her Hawaiian and Korean roots. The shoes were dropped for sale on July 18th for $200 and were sold out within minutes.
