The citizens of Los Angeles are experiencing one of the worst wildfire incidents. Thousands have lost their homes, families, and lives. Overall, reports state that LA has suffered $135-150 billion of losses due to the wildfires. More than 5,300 buildings have been destroyed. Over 3500 firefighters are still working day and night to try and prevent any further losses.

While Nelly Korda is far away from the incidents, she has still decided to take a stand. She has planned to help as much as she can through her social media reach. The world No. 1 professional golfer shared a story on Instagram a few minutes ago showcasing the efforts of @chefbae. The video shows the influencer chef preparing meals in abundance trying to feed the families suffering in Los Angeles.

Nelly Korda shared the same in her stories on her official Instagram account, with a message to all her followers. She said, “So heartbroken for LA. @chefbae is cooking warm meals for all the families that have lost their homes and the brave first responders working endlessly.” The LPGAT star tried to reflect on the efforts put in by the chef. Korda has also shared a link redirected towards a donation portal. The funds would help cover the losses suffered by the people in Los Angeles.

It was great seeing Nelly Korda share an important message with her fans. But she is not the first athlete to respond to the dire situation in Los Angeles. A few hours ago, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather also committed to provide assistance to those who have suffered due to the Los Angeles wildfires. His Instagram post said, “My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in California during this difficult time. If you have been displaced by the fires and are in need of assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@vadaproperties.com My team will review your request and do our very best to help. Stay strong. 🙏🏾,” hinting that his real estate business will help anyone who has lost their home find their way back.

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Fanatics also started a unique relief fund for victims of the wildfire. A few hours ago, the baseball team and the digital sports platform teamed up and shared a post on Instagram stating their intent to help. The post was captioned, The Dodgers have teamed up with @fanatics and the
LA sports community to support those impacted by the tragic wildfires.
Fanatics, Leagues, and the participating sports organizations will not profit from the sale of the LA Strong merchandise and will make a donation directly to the @americanredcross and the @lafdfoundation,” giving a glimpse at how they are actively contributing. They also mentioned, “The American Red Cross provides assistance to those affected by these fires and the LA Fire Department Foundation provides much needed support and equipment to first responders,” providing details about the teams that are at the frontline.
